Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Sourcing:

  • Source and recruit nurses for various positions (registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nurse practitioners, etc.) through job boards, social media, job fairs, and networking.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates to meet short- and long-term staffing needs.
  • Develop recruitment strategies to attract top talent, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals.
Screening and Interviewing:
  • Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
  • Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidates' qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Coordinate and schedule in-person or virtual interviews with hiring managers.
  • Ensure candidates meet licensing and certification requirements.
Candidate Placement:
  • Match candidates to the appropriate roles based on their skills, experience, and preferences.
  • Work with hiring managers to ensure smooth and efficient interview processes and timely hiring decisions.
  • Extend job offers to selected candidates and handle negotiations related to salary, benefits, and start dates.
Compliance and Documentation:
  • Ensure that all recruited nurses meet required licensing, certification, and background check requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies regarding staffing and recruitment.
Onboarding Support:
  • Guide candidates through the onboarding process, ensuring all required documentation and training are completed.
  • Coordinate with HR and nursing departments to ensure smooth transitions for new hires.
Relationship Management:
  • Develop strong relationships with nursing professionals, recruitment agencies, and other healthcare organizations.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the nursing industry and current trends to attract top talent.
  • Offer ongoing support to new hires to ensure job satisfaction and retention.
Reporting and Metrics:
  • Track recruitment performance metrics, such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and retention rates.
  • Prepare reports for senior leadership regarding recruitment outcomes and staffing needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Nursing, or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
  • Previous experience in recruitment, preferably in healthcare, with a focus on nursing roles.
  • Strong knowledge of the nursing profession and healthcare regulations.
Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
