Job Description: The contractor shall provide onsite support to conduct specified engineering/technical evaluations, perform equipment functional checks, perform troubleshooting/test/analysis and equipment repair to correct AEGIS Computer Network Systems maintenance, installation, and connectivity faults. The SME shall provide Onboard Maintenance Training (OBMT) to Ship's Force technicians in the operation, repair, maintenance, and logistics support of the Aegis Computer Networks to include, but not limited to Local Area Networks, Switch Blade Servers, Routers, VME Chassis Structure, Fiber Optics, and Digital Interfaces on baselines 7.1/ 7.1.R/ 7.2/ 8.1/ 9/. The SMEs shall perform/provide support during shipboard Combat Systems tasks including Pier Side Refurbishments, ICMP, TSRA, BMDRA, INSURV programs and Tech Assist events. General Experience: At least (4) years of experience in troubleshooting, repair, and assessment of aforementioned AEGIS Computer Network Systems found onboard US Navy ships. Specialized Experience: SME shall possess a minimum of (2) years of specialized experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and testing of Aegis Computer Networks. Candidates should be proficient using UNIX, LINUX, REDHAT, RED HAWK, general and special purpose electronic test equipment to perform both organizational and intermediate level maintenance. Resumes should specifically outline being a graduate of Navy AEGIS Computer Network C School or commercial Network System Administrator equivalent.

Requires: Associate's degree or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience. The likely hourly rate for this position is between $29.75 - $40.25. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
