Job Summary: The HR Coordinator works closely with the Manager of Administrative Services and Assistant Director of HR Operations in facilitating and liaising HR requests for the College. The HR Coordinator is instrumental in coordinating various HR processes including recruitment, compliance, contracts, and compensation analysis with university policy and labor laws. Provides general information to university constituents regarding HR programs, e.g. benefits, payroll, time/leave entry, approval processes, and support the resolution of any employee concerns. Assist with the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and maintaining interview records. Facilitate pre-employment and onboarding, including the gathering of transcripts, credentialing, and employment permits. Ensures completion of university sign-on process and background check clearance. Facilitates new employee onboarding, including ensuring New Employee Experience (NEE) registration, and ensures smooth integration into the College. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and university employment laws and regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases. Assist with audits and prepare reports as needed. Assist with HR projects and initiatives assigned by the Manager of Administrative Services and the Assistant Director of HR Operations. Tracks and coordinates requests for immigration sponsorship and monitors expiring visa reports. Works closely with the Manager of Administrative Services in preparing and executing faculty letters. Ensures timely submission of all faculty appointments and renewals by monitoring expiring appointment reports. Works closely with the Finance and Grant Administration team to gather funding approval for all salary actions. Inputs overload and adjunct contract. Maintains the confidential nature of all employees' and applicants' privileged information used or observed throughout employment. Performs essential duties in any emergencies such as hurricanes, storms, and/or any other university emergency closing. The employee is expected to be available to report to work as needed during university emergency closing with appropriate notification of a department administrator. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of office or related experience providing administrative support, or coordinating functions of an office or department. $45,000 - $50,000 Work Schedule: Begin time: 8:30 AM End time: 5:00 PM Working Condition(s): Required to spend 50% or more of time operating a computer.
