2 Overview
Electric Boat Information Technology (EB IT) is responsible for Electric Boat's enterprise information systems such as product design environments, collaboration platforms, and office productivity suites. EB IT supports over 20,000 end-users in a wide variety of work environments and locations. The EB IT Infrastructure Engineer supports the Electric Boat IT Infrastructure including and not limited to, networking, servers, storage, and cloud computing. A successful candidate will work with a joint team of EB IT, Cyber-security, and Customer Support Center personnel to implement, monitor, and improve Electric Boat's IT systems. Candidates can expect to perform project oversight activities as well as system administration work. Candidates will have opportunities to work with Windows Servers, RedHat Linux Servers, Cisco, Palo Alto, and Aruba network equipment as well as cloud IaaS opportunities with Microsoft Azure and Oracle OCI. Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering, Computer Science (CS), Management Information Systems (MIS) or related Technical Degree (Networks, Cyber-security Software, Systems Engineering) 2+ years of relevant work experience; entry-level candidates with equivalent experience at the collegiate level will be considered in lieu of professional work experience Working knowledge at the professional or collegiate level in one or more of the following areas: network experience, server experience, and/or cloud (Amazon AWS, Azure/M365, or Oracle OCI) Working knowledge of Teamcenter NX or equivalent design platforms. Skills
Fundamental IT infrastructure knowledge is expected IT project leadership and management skills Strong technical verbal and written communication will be required Ability to adapt to and lead organizational and technical change Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with executive level staff Excellent teamwork will be required Physical Qualifications
