who is dedicated to fostering growth with a focus on developing talent to build a strong and diverse pipeline of future leaders. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

C-Suite Leader : Serve on the seven-member Executive Team and participate in organizational planning and decision-making. Assist in establishing institutional goals and long-term direction, assuring coordination, integration, alignment, and implementation of institutional decisions, communications, and appropriate allocation of resources. Drive the execution of long-term plans that align with the Zoo’s mission and financial objectives. Culture & Team Builder : Lead, mentor, and coach a team of directors and managers, facilitating collaboration among multidisciplinary teams and reconciling divergent interests. Foster a positive and innovative culture that promotes employee wellbeing, professional growth, high performance, and strong ethics. Inspire staff with an engaging attitude, maintaining a visible, professional presence that advances the Zoo’s mission and values. Animal Care Expert : Lead the Animal Care & Animal Health Program. Work with Animal Care leadership and others to establish, implement, and maintain the highest quality programs and standards for animal care. Oversee zoological operations, including animal husbandry, habitat design and management, animal behavior monitoring, public-facing animal programs, animal training, and guest interactions, ensuring that Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) standards are met and exceeded. Conservation & Education Visionary : Lead the Education & Conservation departments, ensuring the execution of comprehensive and integrated departmental plans. Develop short- and long-range plans to advance the Zoo’s strategic objectives to shape and enhance conservation ethos and scientific knowledge among guests and program participants. Financial Steward : Accountable for the development and administration of annual operating plans and budgets for assigned areas. Manage revenues and expenses against approved budget and take corrective action when necessary to meet revenue goals and expense projections. External Ambassador : Represent and promote the Zoo’s mission-critical areas and its interests externally with public and professional audiences. Serve as a public face for the organization with media as requested. Enhance the Zoo's capacity for fundraising, by actively working with the Zoo’s advancement team in capital campaigns and building relationships with donors and external partners. Experience Required

Directly relevant, comparable senior-level or executive leadership experience, including experience managing multiple departments, staff, budgets, and functions.Must possess relevant experience in animal care, conservation, and education. How to Apply
