Forest Glen Animal Hospital is a small animal veterinary practice in the Forest Glen/Jefferson Park area of Chicago. We are looking to fill the role of a general practitioner. We are open to accepting exotics as well.
Our practice has provided veterinary care to the dogs and cats in the area since 1963. We are far enough away from the Loop to be quieter (with free parking), but close enough that you can get here easily from any neighborhood or suburb. There is a Metra station (Forest Glen) across the street, and there are CTA bus (92 Foster) and train (Jefferson Park Blue Line) stops within walking distance.
Services provided Wellness and preventative care Sick, urgent, and limited emergency care (DVM approval) Periodontal care with digital radiographs on 100% cases Spays, neuters, and advanced soft tissue surgery Orthopedic procedures provided by a consulting certified surgeon Companion Laser Therapy Ultrasonography Rescue partnership (large volume spay/neuter) Strong relationship with referral partners
There are currently two full time DVMs. Our Medical Director has almost 20 years of experience, including practice in a high-volume shelter setting. She has a passion for mentorship to help you expand and grow in skill and confidence. Our associate veterinarian graduated in 2023 and she already has established a loyal client base. She has greatly benefited from the guidance of our Medical Director as well as NVA's Mentorship Program for new grads. We have highly experienced and capable technicians to help onboard and guide you during your shifts. Our diverse clientele are dedicated to their pets' wellbeing, and are open to diagnostics and treatments offered.
