About the Position: We are working with a highly-regarded global law firm that has an immediate need for a corporate transactional lawyer to join its practice as a mid-level associate. This firm has received numerous accolades and awards, including being recognized for its top-tier corporate practice. The attorneys in the corporate group represent clients ranging from startups to international corporations. Highlights: · Nationally recognized corporate practice · Ranked as a leading firm for quality of life, associate satisfaction, and pro bono work · Voted as a Best Law Firm for Wellness by Vault Law · Firm recognized as Client Service All-Stars by BTI Consulting · Ranked as a top firm for diversity, with affinity groups for women attorneys, attorneys of color, veterans, and LGBTQ+ attorneys Responsibilities: · Represent private equity and venture capital funds, and public and private companies in venture, growth and other financings, private equity and M&A matters · Draft transaction agreements and documents · Negotiate deal terms · Manage transaction closings and processes · Collaborate with and oversee junior attorneys Required Qualifications: · 4 or more years of general corporate experience, including private equity, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, and debt finance transactions · Excellent academic credentials Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid) Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $260,000 – $420,000.
