Key job responsibilities The WWSO team is looking for a Business Development (BD) candidate who will lead AWS Industries (AWSI) strategic initiatives and programs. The candidate will be focused on defining, establishing, and facilitating implementation of internal business mechanisms to accelerate service adoption and deliver business goals. The BD will dive deep in priority domains to identify cross industry trends, opportunities, drive critical domain Go-to-Market (GTM) initiatives for AWSI, provide business insights to stakeholders, support and drive Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Working hand-in-hand with AWSI Pillar teams, worldwide team, and key internal stakeholders such as Industry Business Units (IBU), sales operations, marketing and finance, you will help drive, across industries, the most impactful and scalable programs and mechanisms. This role will manage expectations, build great relationships with others, and will roll up their sleeves to find solutions and deliver results. • Work with the Worldwide Specialist team focused on driving domain initiatives and KPIs while acting as the Pillar feedback loop for AWSI and WW team.
• Work closely with industry specialists, IBU, World wide teams and cross-functional stakeholders to define, execute, and continually improve our business programs. • Deep dive in data to prepare business insights and recommendations to drive business results. • Collaborate with appropriate teams to define and track objectives, goals and deliverables • Constantly innovate and improve programs and program management mechanisms, suggesting new ideas, sharing best practices, and improving the business and customer engagement model. • Evaluate effectiveness of GTM programs from AWSI perspective and provide feedback on how to improve and enhance, including sharing best practices. • Ensure alignment between initiatives, WWSO and IBU teams. Remove GTM blockers and accelerate escalations to resolution.
About the team AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
