CNC Machinist and Programmer
to work for our client, a company in the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will operate a variety of machines to perform assigned tasks, ensuring precision and quality in the manufacturing process. This is a
full-time direct hire
position. Work schedule:
9/80 Hourly pay up to
$36 an hour plus OT. Comprehensive benefit package! Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Set up and operate bench and machine tools including lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinder, etc., to produce precision parts, tools, and fixtures from drawings, sketches, and operation sheets. Read and interpret complex blueprints, using shop mathematics. Work to extremely close tolerances using all types of machine shop tools and equipment. Inspect machined parts to ensure conformance with specifications. Use a variety of precision measuring instruments to check work and obtain desired tolerances. May act as lead person in assigning work and monitoring ongoing department operations in the absence of the Machine Shop Supervisor. Requirements: Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments. Experience with manual and automated machinery such as CNC - Bridgeport and Haas Minimill. 5 years' experience in general machine shop work with a thorough knowledge of machine practice, tooling, setups, and properties of metals and plastics required. Familiarity with Edgecam software. Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Competency in blueprint reading. Proficient in using hand tools for machining operations.
