(MAB) is seeking a mission-driven HR Executive to lead the Human Resources function at MAB, a $55M, 650-employee non-profit human service organization serving adults with intellectual disabilities and acquired brain injuries, individuals who are blind or visually impaired, and neurodivergent adolescents and young adults with behavioral health challenges. Our goal is to provide the training and support necessary for our participants to have agency over their lives, to pursue the activities they enjoy, and to be a full participant in their community.

Position Summary: The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to make MAB an employer of choice. The CHRO will execute a comprehensive human resources strategy to support the mission of the organization, implement HR best practices, and improve and enhance the HR infrastructure in collaboration with the CEO and the board of directors. The CHRO will also be a key player in providing a welcoming environment to all employees and supporting employees in reaching their professional potential through coaching, performance management, reward and recognition programs, and professional development opportunities.

The CHRO is a “hands-on” position, overseeing all aspects of the company's human resources responsibilities while also driving a strategic agenda. To be successful, the CHRO must be a mission-driven executive who has a demonstrated ability to interact, relate to, and work with a diverse workforce and has successfully overseen all HR functions including but not limited to: Strategic planning Workforce Development Talent acquisition, retention, and reward & recognition programs Employee relations and progressive discipline Leave management ADP Workforce Now and Time & Attendance Operations improvement and change management Training and Career Development Benefits plan design and enhancements Onboarding and New Employee Orientation Compensation Compliance Performance Management Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategies.

Key Duties/Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive human resources strategy that is aligned with MAB's strategic goals and objectives. Develop and implement a workforce development strategy to upskill incumbent staff and provide professional development and career ladder opportunities to them. Lead MAB’s recruitment and talent acquisition initiatives. Manage the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs to support human resources operations and maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Develop and implement strategies that strengthens MAB’s ability to recruit and retain a highly diverse staff at all levels in all departments. Ensure all HR functions are compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices. Oversee performance management and progressive discipline, including providing guidance and support to managers on performance reviews and disciplinary action. Develop and implement compensation and benefits programs that are competitive and cost-effective to attract and retain top talent. Develop and maintain positive employee relations by providing guidance and support to employees and managers. Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management team. Requirements and Qualifications A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university; MBA or MA/MS in human resources or related field preferred. A minimum of 10-15 years of HR experience, with at least five years of executive HR experience. SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant human resources laws, regulations, and best practices Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills Able to think strategically and collaborate effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders Competencies: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems. Ability to think creatively to develop new strategies to reach performance goals Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and ADP or another HRIS system.
