A career within RSM's Corporate Tax services will provide you with the opportunity to help our public and private multinational corporate tax clients meet their accounting for income tax reporting requirements and income tax consulting and compliance obligations, while managing the impact tax has on their business. You'll advise clients on their tax strategy using both your industry experience and technical expertise with a cross-functional team, while delivering a customized technology-enabled service delivery model to facilitate better decision making in achieving our clients' strategic objectives.
As a Tax Senior Manager for RSM, you will be responsible for the following job duties:
Serve as a Career Advisor, mentor or coach to one or more employees, which will include providing honest and timely performance feedback - approximately 10-20% of your time Drive growth and profitability of industry/specialty area by generating new revenue on existing client portfolio, cross selling and new clients for the tax practice - approximately 30-40% of your time Interact directly with clients handling questions, planning, consulting, etc. - approximately 20-40% of your time Train and develop staff members Work on multiple complex issues while communicating in a non-technical manner to facilitate communication between the client and the service team while managing the risk for both the client and the firm Lead and manage the business relationship of complex engagements with a focus on high-value quality tax advice and seek to expand services to clients Serve as Tax client service coordinator while developing and executing the firm's client service plan Review research findings and ensure conclusions are consistent with firm policies and professional standards Build relationships across lines of business to ensure excellent client service through an integrated service approach Manage corporate client needs with respect to tax services and federal and state tax compliance Remain up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law Other duties as assigned Some travel may be required Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting CPA, JD, LLM, or EA 8 or more years of public accounting experience working with C Corp clients or equivalent in law firms or industry. Experience preparing or reviewing accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740 A proven record of simultaneously managing multiple projects and engagement teams for various clients Must be able to support financial growth efforts and manage a book of business. Ability to generate new business and extend service opportunities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Project management and critical thinking skills Experience in dealing with international tax matters a plus; Fluent in French, German, Japanese, or Mandarin, to include but not limited to speaking, writing, and reading with a deep understanding of the culture and business practices within the country of fluency Proven track record of managing relationships with large non-US companies with significant operations in North America At RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range. Compensation Range:
$88,400 - $167,200 Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
