SUMMARY
The Title Searcher searches public records and indices to compile chains of title and legal instruments pertaining to property titles such as mortgages, deeds, judgments and liens. Determines documents required to remove matters affecting title to real estate. Prepares commitments and final policies of title insurance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews copies of records such as mortgages, liens, judgment, easements, and plat and map books
- Prepares title commitment and final policy of title insurance based on information compiled from title search
- Use software to draw legal descriptions to verify closure and identify encroachments or overlaps.
- Performs all other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- No supervisory responsibilities

2+ years of experience searching title in the title insurance industry
COMPUTER AND OFFICE EQUIPMENT SKILLS
- Microsoft Office suite
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Arkansas Title License Required
