IT Department Business Manager .

The

IT Department Business Manager

oversees operational efficiency, process improvement, and administrative functions within the IT department. This role focuses on business operations, personnel management, service delivery excellence, and strategic business alignment of IT initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations

Manage departmental processes and administrative operations Oversee purchasing, procurement, and vendor relationships Develop and maintain departmental reports and metrics Conduct personnel evaluations and performance management Lead customer service initiatives and service level management Coordinate budget planning and financial tracking Manage department documentation and process improvement Facilitate internal and external communication Strategic Planning & Governance

Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards Participate in strategic planning and IT roadmap development Ensure alignment between IT initiatives and business objectives Monitor and report on IT department KPIs and metrics Manage IT audit compliance and documentation Resource Management

Develop and maintain IT resource capacity planning Manage IT asset lifecycle and inventory management Coordinate staff training and professional development programs Oversee contract management and renewal processes Monitor and optimize IT operational costs Service Management

Implement and maintain IT service catalog Oversee service level agreements (SLAs) and operational level agreements (OLAs) Manage incident and problem management processes Coordinate change management procedures Monitor and improve customer satisfaction metrics Risk & Compliance

Maintain IT risk register and mitigation strategies Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Coordinate IT security awareness programs Manage software licensing and compliance Oversee IT insurance requirements Project Portfolio Management

Assist in prioritizing IT projects and initiatives Monitor project budgets and resource allocation Coordinate project documentation and reporting Facilitate project status communications Track project benefits realization Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field 5+ years of experience in business operations or service management 3+ years of management experience Proven experience in procurement and vendor management Strong background in personnel management and evaluation Experience with budget management and financial reporting Knowledge of IT service management frameworks Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Business Administration or related field ITIL v4 Foundation certification Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Experience with IT portfolio management tools Background in process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean) Experience with IT governance frameworks (COBIT, ISO 27001) Skills & Competencies
