What you'll be doing:

  1. Developing Scalable Systems: Build backend infrastructure components to handle high traffic efficiently.
  2. Monitoring & Alerting: Set up robust alerting systems to ensure high system availability.
  3. Infrastructure Management: Deploy and manage web services using Linux, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud.
  4. Application Deployment: Use frameworks such as Flask or Django to launch applications at scale.
  5. Database & CI/CD Management: Optimize Postgres databases and implement CI/CD best practices.
  6. API Development: Design, document, and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integrations.

Requirements:

  1. 3+ years of backend or infrastructure engineering experience.
  2. Expertise in Linux, Terraform, CSPs (AWS/Google Cloud), Kubernetes, and Docker.
  3. Proven success with monitoring, alerting, and CI/CD systems.
  4. Proficiency in Python and frameworks like Flask or Django.
  5. Hands-on experience with Postgres and large-scale infrastructure components.
  6. Willingness to work in-office five days a week in San Francisco, with on-call rotation.
