We are looking to hire Sports Turf Interns for the Summer of 2025 that would run from May 1 through August 30 (flexible based on availability) and earns $15 per hour for 35 hours per week.This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Turf & Groundskeeper.Free on-site housing is available with a signed housing agreement. Applicants must pass all applicable background checks.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SPORTS TURF INTERN
Our internship program provides a hands-on learning experience that will enhance your college classroom education. The Sports Turf Intern will work with the Turf and Groundskeeper and be exposed to all aspects of the field maintenance operation including participating in sod work, warning track maintenance, assisting with aeration throughout the season, assisting with repairing the mound, plate and bullpen clay, maintaining and repairing infield skin surfaces, assisting with fertilization, irrigation maintenance and pesticide program as appropriate, assisting with tarp pulls, assisting in field preparations which include mowing, edging, clay work, dragging and lining, and performing preventative maintenance of grounds equipment as well as participating in meetings regarding field use and game day logistics during the World Series and other games played at the complex.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SPORTS TURF INTERN
•Applicant must be currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Agronomy, Turf Grass Management or related field
•Excellent work ethic
•Knowledge of baseball field dimensions and layout, preferred
•General knowledge of operating and maintaining grounds keeping equipment
•Valid driver's license
•Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
•Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting
•Must pass criminal background check
•Flexible work schedule including holidays, evenings, and weekends, as needed
•Must be able to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and rain
