A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Partner to lead its bankruptcy practice group. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in bankruptcy law and will play a pivotal role in managing client relationships, overseeing bankruptcy proceedings, and providing strategic legal counsel.
Duties:
- Lead and manage the bankruptcy practice group, providing strategic direction and oversight.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on bankruptcy matters.
- Handle a diverse caseload of bankruptcy cases, including Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 proceedings.
- Provide expert legal counsel on bankruptcy reorganizations, liquidations, and debt restructuring.
- Represent debtors, creditors, and other parties in bankruptcy proceedings and related litigation.
- Negotiate and draft bankruptcy-related agreements, including reorganization plans and creditor settlements.
- Collaborate with other practice areas within the firm to provide comprehensive legal solutions to clients.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing bankruptcy law, preferably within a reputable law firm.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex bankruptcy matters and client relationships.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in mentoring junior attorneys.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Admission to the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
