RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct/perform in process inspections to release product as authorized by direct supervisor.
- Follow appropriate policies, procedures, protocols, and complete necessary documentation, as guided.
- Under direct supervision, follow plans and ensure all tasks are performed on schedule.
- Support transfer from development to manufacturing, building prototypes, qualification samples, etc.
- Perform all production related activities including:
- Preparing solutions, cleaning, and treating biological tissue.
- Assembling/sewing of final product.
- Packaging of tissue and/or final product.
- Train fellow technicians/operators as assigned by direct supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in operations and/or lab working with team members in a medical device environment, including assisting with the training of fellow employees as directed.
- Previous experience assembling Class III medical devices.
- Previous exposure to new development projects and lab work.
- Experience handling, assembling and/or sewing biological tissue.
- Ability to communicate and document technical as well as quality issues.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Previous exposure to new development projects and lab work.
- Must be able to take directions, follow precise procedures and detailed instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to sit in a chair or stand for the duration of your shift.
- Can use small tools like a scalpel or tweezers.
- Highly motivated self-starter willing to work in any area needing support in a small engineering/start-up environment.
