TEKSystems is currently hiring a patient services associate in Abington Township, PA! Location: Abington Township, PA (this role is fully on-site!)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, shift is either 7AM-3PM OR 8AM-4PM!

Pay: $20/HR (full time opportunity with weekly pay!)

As a patient services associate, you will be enhancing the patient/customer experience by courteously and professionally managing arrival and departure activities. This role involves obtaining pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures, verifying insurance, referrals, and patient demographic information. The patient services associate supports the delivery of the hospital experience by ensuring the prompt and courteous treatment of all patients and visitors, maintaining an efficient flow of patients to examination rooms. This position supports a cardiology & heart failure unit within a hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff in a manner consistent with the values of the system.
• Process check-in and/or check-out, point of service activities, and/or scheduling of patient appointments via EPIC.
• Obtain pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures.
• Maintain efficient flow of practice and escalate patient and/or provider concerns as appropriate.
• Greet and interact with patients/visitors professionally, both on the phone and in person.
• Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

• Must be able to communicate courteously with patients and/or visitors.
• Willingness to provide and support a positive experience for all patients and/or visitors.
• Ability to process and interpret data.
• Ability to multi-task while managing a time-sensitive workload

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00
