The Human Capital Business Partner is involved in the management and development of human capital to support overall corporate objectives. The HC Business Partner acts as an advisor to company directors and managers, helping them to decide on long-term strategies for human resources and employees.

Main Responsibilities

  • HC Strategy: Contribute to the development of HR strategy in alignment with organizational objectives. Monitor HR analysis and use relevant data to understand employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Advising and Coaching Managers: Provide consultative support to managers and leaders to resolve complex HC issues. Act as a bridge between managers and employees. Coach managers on HC issues affecting the company and develop concrete solutions.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, from hiring to termination, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Workforce Planning: Support managers in their workforce planning. Evaluate teams and provide advice to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Labor relations: Manage labor relations, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Training and Development: Collaborate with departments to identify training needs and support the development of training programs.
  • Talent Management: Implement talent management strategies to attract, retain and develop the best talent.
  • HR Data Analysis: Use HR data to provide actionable insights to leaders, contributing to data-driven decision-making.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws, internal policies, health and safety procedures and HR best practices.


Aptitudes and Qualifications

  • Education: University degree in Human Capital (HC/HR), business management or related field.
  • Experience: Significant experience (more than 10 years) in human resources roles, with specific experience of at least 5 years as a business partner.
  • Bilingualism: Ability to communicate fluently in French and English, both orally and in writing.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build trusting relationships with employees at all levels.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and make strategic recommendations.
  • Legal Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of labor laws and human resources regulations.

  • Leadership: Ability to influence and lead change within the organization.


Hybrid Work Environment

The role is based at our Griffintown offices. A minimum presence of 3 days a week in the office is required to encourage face-to-face exchanges.
