Position Summary: Our team creates reusable technologies to help with customer acquisition, onboarding, and empowering merchants, while ensuring a seamless experience for both stakeholders. We also optimize tariffs and assortment in accordance with Walmart's Everyday Low-Cost philosophy. We not only create affordability, but we also deliver customized experiences for customers across all channels - in-store, mobile app, and websites. Walmart's Advertising Technology group enables the connection between supplier brands and retail shoppers at unprecedented scale. We are a highly motivated group of engineers and data scientists, working in an agile group to solve sophisticated and high impact problems. We serve billions of ads requests every month with our high-performance ad servers. There are millions of customers shop on Walmart websites and in stores daily, and advertising helps advertisers bring the best products to our customers. What you'll do: Design and develop in large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects Collaborate with cross-functional groups of engineers, including offshore associates Directs root cause analysis of critical business and production issues Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity Supports business objectives and ensures the business needs are being met Develop components and modules that add to the pool of re-usable, and platform capabilities for the UI teams, including mobile app development Work on cutting edge JavaScript based technologies to develop maintainable, performant, and elegant features in an Agile, incremental fashion What you'll bring: Programming Experience in React Native, Typescript, JavaScript ES6, React + Redux, NodeJS, HTML, CSS, REST, highly scalable Web Services, SQL/MySQL/MSSQL, Java Experience in agile ways of working in a distributed geographical model Knowledge of mobile app development principles and best practices Excellent communication, timeliness, and a desire to write clean, organized code Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area Preferred Qualifications: Customer Service background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly Knowledge of accessibility best practices and Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines Masters: Computer Science Primary Location: 680 West California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086-4834, United States of America
