MBS is hiring a Human Resources Manager in Terre Haute, IN. This position is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and manage HR strategic plans for current and future business, including business plans and department metrics that support organization KPMs.
- Maximize workforce talent development and succession planning with effective training and development systems, anticipating future skill requirements and career planning
- Manage flexible staffing model that recruits and retains high talent that supports changing business needs and workforce morale
- Protect the team members and business by assisting in the development, communication, and compliance with all policies, procedures, and laws – and provide guidance and interpretation for business operations
- Ensure HR program and policies are aligned with business needs and positive team member experience, including communication, recognition, inclusion, and professional development/training.
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, succession planning, and change management.
- Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Provide direct leadership to Human Resources and Training department members.
- Coaching and advisement to organizational leaders for HR and Training.
- Collaborate with organizational leaders to plan and achieve HR/Training department goals.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field.
- At least five (5) years of human resources experience.
- At least two (2) years of leadership experience.
- At least seven (7) years of human resources experience.
- At least give (5) years of leadership experience.
- HR certification.
- Background in training and safety management.
