We are on the hunt for a dynamic and motivated Construction Project Engineer/Manager to join our fast-paced Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing large-scale construction projects, with a focus on roads, highways, bridges, and flood diversion systems. This role is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) who has experience working with government municipalities, has a keen eye for quality control, and is comfortable handling billion-dollar projects. The Construction Project Engineer/Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful completion of our engineering projects, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all stages of project life cycle management, from planning and design to construction and completion. Manage relationships with government municipalities and Department of Transportation Services (DOTS). Utilize Microstation software for project design and implementation. Conduct field reviews and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards. Coordinate with various teams and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and successful project execution. Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure the highest standards are maintained. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and other project staff. Manage large-scale flood diversion and flood risk management projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Continuously monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A valid Professional Engineer (PE) license. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Construction Project Engineer/Manager in the Engineering industry. Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects, ideally within roads, highways, and bridges. Familiarity with Microstation software. Experience working with government municipalities and Department of Transportation Services (DOTS). Proven leadership and team management skills, with a focus on mentoring and development. Strong knowledge of flood risk management and flood diversion projects. Exceptional coordination and communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders. Strong commitment to safety and quality control. Ability to handle billion-dollar projects with precision and integrity.
