We are offering an exciting opportunity in Cherry Hill Township, New Jersey, for a Legal Secretary to join our team in the legal industry. This role requires an organized individual with a keen eye for detail to manage client related tasks and maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process and maintain client files and records
• Prepare various legal documents such as real estate contracts, divorce complaints, and insurance defense answers
• Efficiently handle dictation and transcription tasks using dictaphone
• Manage e-filing in municipal, county, and superior courts in New Jersey
• Utilize case management software for efficient handling of cases
• Answer and manage inbound calls and correspondence related to client matters
• Collaboratively work within a pool system alongside other legal secretaries
• Report to the administrative lead and designated attorney supervisor
• Provide support for diverse clientele, including corporate, government, insurance defense, and individual clients
• Apply skills like Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), CompuLaw, and other relevant software for effective work delivery.• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Secretary
• Proficiency in Aderant and Adobe Acrobat
• Experience with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS)
• Familiarity with Case Management Software and CompuLaw
• Ability to manage billing functions and calendar management tasks
• Strong briefing skills and client relations abilities
• Knowledge of consumer electronics and corporate legal processes
• Demonstrated ability to draft legal documents
• Experience as a Legal Assistant, managing legal correspondence, legal files, and legal forms
• Proficiency in typing and use of Dictaphone for dictation
• Experience in answering inbound calls and performing receptionist duties
• Familiarity with e-File, e-Filing, and electronic file systems
• Background in civil litigation and case management
• Understanding of civil law, including federal, municipal, and state courts
• Knowledge of court rules and ability to draft documents and letters
• Experience in civil litigation, commercial real estate, and real estate law
• Understanding of state, local, municipal law, and zoning, planning, and land-use regulations.
