Job Summary:
Provides primary health care to include a full scope of midwifery services.
Participates in quality improvement monitoring activities and compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
Attends meetings with full staff, colleagues, supervising physician(s), and medical director.
Knowledgeable of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
Facilitates/Coordinates the interactions of the group Centering Pregnancy Program.
This position is involved in a team-based approach to care. Team members are trained to meet the highest level of function for their role as per the State of Tennessee/Georgia guidelines. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to coordinate care for patients and is trained and assigned to support patients/families/caregivers in self-management, self-efficacy and behavior change. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to manage the practice's patient population. Participates in the practice's quality improvement process and performance evaluation.

MSN Degree. Graduate of accredited program of nurse midwifery, (CNM)

Required:
Current Tennessee license Certified Nurse Midwife and certificate of fitness. BLS completed prior to going to the unit/ department and maintained going forward
The Nurse Licensure Compact will not change how to obtain or renew a Tennessee license. However, the Tennessee nursing license will be a single state license for Tennessee Residents or non-compact state residents. Tennessee licensure or multistate licensure from a compact state must be obtained within three months of hire for non-Tennessee residents.

Responsible for administering direct care of the patient with consultation/collaboration of OB/GYN attending as needed.
Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding for reimbursement.
