We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our fast-paced company. This role is integral to our financial team and will be responsible for handling a variety of complex accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement. Manage accounts receivable (A/R) and ensure timely collection of payments. Conduct monthly and annual closing activities, including preparation of journal entries and accruals. Oversee the management and maintenance of fixed assets. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, providing forecasts and analyzing variances. Conduct monthly reporting activities, providing detailed financial updates to senior management. Coordinate with the manufacturing accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies. Assist in the preparation of year-end audit materials and liaise with external auditors. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards. Continuously improve systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of financials, income statement, monthly reporting, A/R, entries, manufacturing accounting, balance sheet, monthly, year-end close, fixed assets, accruals, annual budget, and cash flow. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial staff. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Knowledge of accounting software and systems. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
