Travel Medical Lab Technician - $1,850 per week in Boulder City, NV

Job Title: Medical Technologist Job Specialty: Medical Laboratory Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Sunday/Monday/Tuesday - Nights Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Licensed as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist General Supervisor in the State Certifications: National certification required, such as ASCP, AMT, ISCLT, or NCA Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Sciences, or three years of college with substantial coursework in Chemistry and Biology, plus one year of laboratory training Job Description: - Perform all assigned routine and complex laboratory analyses with integrity and accuracy, recognizing and correcting errors as needed. - Conduct Quality Control procedures for analytical tests and instrumentation, evaluate results, and implement corrective actions when necessary. - Perform instrument maintenance, calibration, standardization, and troubleshooting with appropriate documentation. - Verify and report patient results in a timely manner, using verbal, written, or computer systems. - Seek supervisory consultation concerning unusual results, lab policy, procedural questions, or instrument problems. - Ensure confidentiality of patient identity and data at all times. - Teach and train new employees in laboratory procedures and practices. - Participate in continuing education to maintain proficiency in procedures, techniques, and instrumentation, as well as research and development of new procedures. - Interact productively and professionally with hospital personnel, peers, patients, clients, visitors, and supervisory personnel. - Adhere to company policies as outlined in the Employee Policy Manual. - Perform related work such as Phlebotomy and clerical duties.
