Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Technologist Supervisor to join our travel staffing agency. The ideal candidate will lead laboratory operations, ensure compliance with quality standards, and manage a team of medical technologists in diverse healthcare settings. This role requires adaptability, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to excellence in laboratory services. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Supervision: Oversee and mentor a team of medical technologists in various laboratory settings. Schedule and assign tasks to staff, ensuring adequate coverage. Provide training and ongoing professional development to team members. Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety protocols, regulations, and standards (e.g., CAP, CLIA). Monitor quality control processes to maintain accurate and reliable test results. Investigate and resolve technical and operational issues as they arise. Technical Expertise: Perform complex laboratory tests and analyses in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology. Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure functionality. Stay current with advancements in medical technology and laboratory methodologies. Administrative Duties: Document and maintain accurate records of tests, procedures, and staff performance. Prepare reports on laboratory operations and performance metrics. Collaborate with the healthcare facility's management to optimize workflow and improve services. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field. Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) by ASCP, AMT, or equivalent. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Technologist, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role. Proficient in laboratory operations, regulatory standards, and quality assurance practices. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel and adapt to new healthcare environments. Work Environment & Travel Requirements: Ability to work in various healthcare facilities, adapting to their protocols and equipment.
