DutiesYou will be responsible for providing the highest degree of analysis and decision support to Marine Corps senior leaders for analysis and evaluation of Marine
Corps and Marine Corps-related Navy programs.You will establish and maintain liaison with commands and program managers and works closely with their representatives to ensure that requirements definition, funding requirements and risks to mission are captured.You will initiate, formulate, plan, execute, and apply new techniques, as well as original methods, to analyze important and unusual problems and to meet study objectives.You will exercise a great deal of initiative and originality to solve a wide range of collection and analysis problems that may require adapting, modifying or developing methods, procedures and techniques to meet the needs of the specific situation.You will conduct complete studies and oversee projects with high visibility, unusual urgency or program criticality.You will personally prepare or direct the preparation of reports, which include charts, graphs and other tabular representations of data, with narrative descriptions of the study methodology, findings, and problems encountered.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentMust be a US Citizen.Must be determined suitable for federal employment.Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: utilizing a broad range of statistical programs to develop and advise on new and improved technologies and concepts to provide operations research analysis, process improvement, funding decision guidance, AND providing leadership and guidance on the resolution of highly complex, unprecedented operations research problems.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess
Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
