Systems Failure Analysis Engineer

Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot, Figure 02, is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It’s time to build.We are looking for a Systems Failure Analysis Engineer to triage, investigate, and root-cause system level failures on-robot.Responsibilities: Rapidly respond to on-robot failures by triaging the problem and collecting any necessary information for further investigationDrive root-cause analysis of the failure, working across electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and technician teams as neededRecommend corrective actions to avoid future failuresDocument failure analysis procedures and resultsAssist with improved diagnostics to more rapidly detect failure modesRequirements: Relevant experience troubleshooting mechatronic systemsSoftware development experience in C++ and PythonDepth in one or more of the following areas: electrical, firmware, mechanical, or controlsBonus Qualifications: Prior experience working robotic systemsPrior experience working with humanoidsPrior experience performing failure analysis on real productsThe US base salary range for this full-time position is between $120,000 - $210,000 annually.The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
