The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of consumer behavior, trends, and a proven track record of translating brand objectives into immersive and shareable experiences. This person will have a proven awardwinning portfolio and experience in integrated marketing, live-event / experiential production, and brand activation with a primary focus in creative strategy, concept, and design across industries who thinks big and has a track record of bringing those ideas to life. This Creative Director will play an instrumental role in conceiving, articulating, and selling creative concepts, designing experiences, and delivering design requirements across Blackstone's business units, partnering with our Events Marketing team and Group Creative Director to bring the visions for each event to life.Responsibilities:Lead by example, shaping and directing creative campaigns, experiential, and brand activations - determining how Blackstone shows up to events and partnerships through collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, events, and production, to ensure cohesive and integrated campaigns.Build and lead BIG ideas and creative campaigns across our busy schedules of Blackstone-hosted signature events and industry sponsorships.Develop strategic-based creative concepts that align with business objectives, brand identity, and industry trends, into well-rounded integrated campaigns anchored around events.Collaborate with creative directors, art directors, designers, artworkers, events, content, and production teams across all global regions to develop best-in-class solutions, visuals, and environments for Blackstone and our partners.Take direction from Creative Leadership Team on creative development; take guidance and rework appropriately.Lead and inspire others to think creatively and build ideas within integrated creative and marketing teams. Lead and participate in idea workshops with internal Blackstone teams and external vendors to elevate event programming.Craft creative solutions into compelling presentations that take the business through your thought process in a way that is simple to understand and leaves them inspired by every experience.Leverage consumer insights and market research to inform creative strategies and work closely with business and internal stakeholders to understand marketing objectives and develop strategic plans for experiential activations.Qualifications:12+ years of experience in the Creative space.Proven 5+ years of experience as a Creative Director or in a similar creative leadership role, with a focus on experiential marketing or activation. Ideally 2+ years as Creative Director in-house/ brand side.Strong portfolio showcasing successful experiential campaigns and activations - demonstrating your creativity across numerous channels.In-depth understanding of current trends in experiential marketing and consumer behavior.Ability to provide overarching creative direction, concepts, and design with technical execution capabilities within targeted scope, scale, and schedule.Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects, ensuring deliverables are achieved on time while maintaining the highest standards of quality and creativity.Exceptional creative thinking and problem-solving skills.Excellent leadership and communication abilities.Understanding and working experience in partnership marketing - translating brand stories into engaging and memorable experiences that resonate with target audiences.Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build new relationships quickly.Must have an organized and detail-oriented approach with the ability to work under pressure and against tight deadlines.Team player with the ability to work autonomouslyExcellent leadership skills-keeps a level head, solves problems, and motivates teams.Expert design craft, technical awareness, and hands-on execution capabilities across, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe CC, and Figma Microsoft software packages.The duties and responsibilities described here are not exhaustive and additional assignments, duties, or responsibilities may be required of this position.
