Summary
The HR Generalist will serve as a trusted partner and advisor to departmental leaders to fulfill responsibilities in the following functional areas: Employee Relations, Wellness & Benefits, Employee Engagement, Compensation, Recruitment, On-Boarding, Leave Management, and Performance & Talent Management.
He or she will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the smooth running of HR projects and operations. The ideal candidate will be able to contribute to the support and attainment of specific goals and results of the HR department and the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Acts as a point of contact and an escalation resource for Human Resources questions and employee/management issues. • Provides support to employees in various HR-related areas such as compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, etc. and resolves any issues that may arise. • Provides coaching and support to front line management in solving employee relations issues, such as policy violations, attendance concerns, and performance issues. • Coach business leaders and their teams on development of others. Helps identify developmental opportunities for talent pipeline within plants and tracks progress on development action plans. • Partner with manager to assess workforce needs and plan and execute appropriate solutions. • Partner with TA Manager in support of recruitment and onboarding activities for the plants. • Inputs and maintains employee data in the ADP HRIS system such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for analysis reporting. • Liaisons closely with Payroll to ensure critical data is shared on a timely basis. • Review existing human resources policies and procedures within the business units for which they are responsible, and initiates changes as necessary to ensure compliance with law, corporate policies, and business objectives. • Assists in planning, organizing, and delivering employee training. Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications. • Assists in the planning and execution of performance management activities and functions as the employees' first point of contact for performance reviews. • Participates in the development and delivery of employee recognition programs and programs aimed at increasing employee morale, including the company newsletter, Employee recognition programs, Employee Surveys, etc. • Coordinates and manages data and information related to required audits, mandated reporting, and internal reporting. • Coordinates and executes employee engagement and wellness events and activities for the plants. • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and innovative technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. • Leads and participates in HR projects. • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience: • 5 – 7 years of progressive human resources experience. Manufacturing or Production environment is required. SHRM-CP a plus. • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. • Ability to work independently and act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
Education Required: • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.
