As the People & Culture Recruiter, you will be at the forefront of Smith Entertainment Group's recruiting efforts and will be responsible for the full life cycle of the recruiting process. This position will provide recruiting support for the Utah Jazz, Utah Hockey Club, and Delta Center.Your essential duties will include identifying, sourcing, hiring, and onboarding key talent. Our recruiter will work closely with candidates and hiring managers, performing various tasks including posting jobs, interview scheduling, candidate sourcing, screening and assessment, and handling the job offer process.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate and build strong working relationships with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and assist them with providing the best candidate experience
- Proactively coordinate with hiring managers to optimize the recruiting process across a variety of roles/teams to meet staffing goals and create/maintain hiring timelines
- Lead the recruiting lifecycle, including sourcing candidates, conducting prescreening calls, scheduling interviews, and ongoing candidate communication
- Create and maintain job postings in HRIS (Paylocity)and external job boards
- Create and update job descriptions as required
- Ensure a positive experience for candidates, hiring teams, and other internal customers
- Utilize social media, employment brand, and personal expertise to successfully target passive applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks
- Assist with onboarding processes, including but not limited to performing background checks, new hire orientations, supporting new hires, onboarding surveys, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring employee files are updated
- Maintain relationships with professional networks, educational institutions, local market talent community groups, etc.
- Maintain and distribute relevant recruitment reports and metrics
- Communicate effectively with employees and hiring managers relating to HR procedures and processes with a dedication to providing the highest level of service, teamwork, and confidentiality
- Attend job fairs and set up hiring events
- Create and maintain employee files throughout the employee lifecycle
- Fill out form I-9 and supporting documents including the E-Verify process
- File documentation regarding promotions, separations, etc.
- Print new badges for new hires and remove access for terminated employee badges
- Order new hire items: swag, team store gift cards, nameplates, business cards, etc.
- Ensure that P&C efforts continually work to create and support a culture of employee engagement, diversity, and inclusion

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of recruiting/HR experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Proficiency in computer software applications such as Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Paylocity is a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- The person must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
- This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
