Accounting Manager Job at Century Group in El Segundo

Century Group has a great opportunity for an Accounting Manager to join our client in the consumer products industry. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $110,000 to $130,000 per year.

Job Description:

• Manage month-end close process, including preparation, processing, and review of general ledger entries
• Review complex monthly royalty calculations and quarterly statements for various royalty recipients
• Manage all royalty-related audits, including preparing schedules and support
• Conduct and prepare complex financial/business analysis
• Manage, train and mentor accounting staff in performing day-to-day accounting functions, including planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and motivating employees
• Manage sales tax process
• Process bi-weekly payroll and prepare payroll related entries and reconciliations
• Conduct and prepare complex financial/business analysis
• Identify and implement improvements to existing processes
• Assist with the year-end financial statement audit

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
• Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
• Able to analyze contracts and determine the proper accounting treatment

Experience:

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required
• Prior Big 4 or large regional firm public accounting experience preferred
• 5+ years of experience with 2+ years previous supervisory experience
• Previous experience in a rapidly growing and changing business environment
• Experience with Oracle preferred
