Job Duties:
- Conduct patent prosecution and portfolio management on a global scale.
- Provide expertise in freedom to operate and patent clearance analyses.
- Handle licensing and other technology transactions.
- Conduct due diligence related to mergers and acquisitions in the intellectual property domain.
Requirements:
- Registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
- Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 8-14 years of relevant experience in intellectual property law.
- Excellent academic record and proficient writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Superior judgment and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Articulate legal strategies and courses of action effectively.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active Bar license in the state of California.
