Overview

To plan, supervise, and coordinate all maintenance activities in the plant to ensure that machinery is in top working condition and that parts are readily available when needed to maintain production schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Train, evaluate and supervise all Maintenance personnel
  • Troubleshoots production problems and takes preventive or corrective action
  • Create and manage Preventive Maintenance (PM) program on all machinery and equipment
  • Ensure that workers are using personal protective equipment, complying with all safety policies and using safe work practices
  • Input and assistance on programming of machines and equipment
  • Responsible to purchase and stock critical repair parts as needed with input from Plant Management
  • Make recommendations to correct problems that could hinder a machine's performance, reduce output, or affect quality
  • Assistance in implementation and adherence to LEAN principles, including but not limited to 6S
  • Keep a clean and orderly workplace
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by management
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years related work experience. Would consider a college graduate with relative experience
  • Must have strong, demonstrated technical skills and experience, including electrical and mechanical skills
  • Must have good organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills essential
  • Must have strong, demonstrated technical skills and experience, including electrical and mechanical skills
  • Understanding of maintenance management methodology and tools to include traceability for reporting and data collection purposes
  • Strong computer skills highly preferred
  • Must be cooperative and proactive, and capable of effective independent work
