Overview:

The Human Resources Manager is primarily responsible for managing the plant level across multiple manufacturing facilities. The HR Manager will deliver proactive and comprehensive HR Solutions focused on increasing the effectiveness of HSMs human capital. The HR Manager will partner with HR Shared Services, HR Business Partners, HR Centers of Excellence, and the Divisional Leaders as required to implement policy revisions, HR Strategies, continuous process improvement, and allocate HR Resources to facilitate HSMs strategy and proactively solve employee related issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily management and guidance to assigned plant locations. Act as the first level of escalation to HR related issues arising from the plant(s).
  • Continuously provide innovative HR Solutions and training to the plants.
  • Collaborate with HR Shared Services Leadership, HR Managers, and HR COEs leadership to develop and drive proactive solutions for the Human Resources Function.
  • Partner with HSMs Recruitment Team to ensure effective tools, resources, and creative solutions are implemented across the organization.
  • Works closely with management to improve working relationships, build engagement, and increase productivity through creative solutions focused on attendance and turnover.
  • Ensures efficient utilization of the HR Resources available to support the divisions in a proactive manner.
  • Specific areas of management for the HR Manager:
  • Ensures enforcement of employment law, Company policy, and EEO regulations.
  • Assists management by analyzing and measuring employee performance/productivity levels through coordinating performance appraisals.
  • Ensure organized and maintained employee/personnel files and other files as required in compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Effective communications to ensure updates to all HR programs, policies, regulations and procedures are presented and discussed as needed at the plant floor level.
  • Ensure effective employee/ management training on HR, Affirmative Action and/or general management or employee issues at the plant level.
  • Provides employee relations advice and coaching related to employee issues as they arise. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations as needed.
  • Manages the annual performance appraisal and merit review process.
  • Represents HSM in ESC-Unemployment cases, EEOC Charges, and other proceedings as needed.
  • Ensures the confidentiality and uses discretion and independent judgment in decision-making
  • Performs other HR Related duties as required and assigned
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related degree with 5+ years experience working in HR.
  • OR 7+ years progressive experience in an HR Generalist role.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and teaming experience
  • Strong computer skills/experience, including MS Office Suite, Ultimate Software or other HRIS Solution.
  • Certification Preferred (PHR, SPHR)

Pay Range:
USD $70,000.00 - USD $80,000.00 /Yr.
