PAY RANGE: $95,000 - $112,000 / Annually POSITION SUMMARY: The Executive Director supports the YMCA’s mission to advance holistic health for individuals and communities, help youth achieve their fullest potential, and elevate the Y brand through impactful programs and services. This position oversees all aspects of branch operations, including staff supervision, budgeting, revenue generation, program quality, board and volunteer development, community engagement, fundraising, and facility management. The Executive Director works closely with the Vice President of Membership & Healthy Lifestyles to achieve Association goals and ensure alignment with the YMCA’s policies and strategic vision. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Mission Advancement Promote and integrate Y values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and diversity within the branch and community. Communicate the YMCA’s impact and benefits to members, staff, and stakeholders. Implement systems to recruit, develop, and recognize volunteers across program, fundraising, and policy levels. Lead and execute branch fundraising efforts, including the Annual Campaign. Collaboration Build and nurture positive relationships with members, staff, volunteers, and community organizations. Develop high-quality member engagement strategies and programs aligned with the YMCA’s mission. Ensure the growth and development of staff through training, coaching, and leadership development resources. Oversee the recruitment and activities of the branch board and committees, fostering a collaborative and engaged volunteer leadership team. Represent the YMCA in the local community and establish partnerships with organizations, businesses, and government entities. Operational Effectiveness Develop and manage the branch’s annual budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with financial goals. Direct branch operations, including program development, membership growth, and facilities maintenance. Implement risk management policies and ensure compliance with YMCA and state regulations. Maintain a high standard of facility safety, cleanliness, and functionality. Lead efforts to attract, engage, and retain members, with a focus on delivering an excellent member and program participant experience. Lead association strategies around Kupuna Services, including grant management. Personal Growth Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement for staff and volunteers. Model a commitment to professional development and lifelong learning. Stay current with industry best practices, technology, and YMCA leadership standards. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required. CPR/AED, First Aid certification, and TB clearance (required). YMCA Multi-Team or Branch Leader certification preferred. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience, preferably in the YMCA or nonprofit sector. Proven ability to manage branch operations, including budgeting, staff supervision, program development, and member engagement. Experience recruiting, training, and developing high-performing staff and volunteer teams. Strong background in fundraising and community engagement. Skills/Knowledge: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities with organization and attention to detail. Ability to foster a team-oriented environment and build high performing teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint). Experience in basic design (Canva) preferred. Knowledge of health, wellness, and community development practices.
