Responsibilities: The candidate will work closely with product marketing, software and hardware development teams to review design specifications, then develop functional test plans for review. This candidate is also responsible for executing test cases, reporting issues in the bug tracking system, debugging issues with development for resolution, and automating test cases, as well as integrating automated scripts for regression. Minimum Qualifications: Requires M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 1-5 years of experience as a test engineer for networking and IP services related products. Preferred Qualifications: Strong proficiency in testing in the following areas: High Speed Interfaces and Aggregated Ethernet, L2/L3 Forwarding, QoS, Firewall, load balancing, Routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, Multicast, MPLS, RSVP, L2VPN, L3VPN, VPLS, etc.), Experience in performing platform qualification tests on new hardware products, Automation skills in Python or GO language, Knowledge in OpenConfig, Telemetry, Ondatra, and P4RT/SDN controller, Test equipment/traffic generator - Ixia or Spirent, Outstanding problem-solving skills in the diagnosis and resolution of customer issues, Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, Self-starter, proactive, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently, Experience in various test methodologies (white box, black box, solution testing) is desirable. Salary Information: The pay range for this position is expected to be between $102,400.00 and $147,200.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an “at-will position,” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors. Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
