We are hiring for a Warehouse Supervisor in our Kingsport, TN location. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehousing and inventory management.


WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Oversees activities of warehouse operations: shipping, receiving, inventory, training and safety.
  • Manages the warehouse team including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management. Assigns daily work order instructions to the Warehouse team.
  • Communicates closely with production and customer service teams to ensure timely shipment of all product.
  • Accurately track and control inventory using Microsoft Navision (NAV) ERP system, conducting physical counts to reconcile.
  • Maintains optimal inventory levels for ingredients, packaging materials, and finished goods.
  • Ensures shipping and receiving process flows smoothly; manages and documents incoming and outgoing trucks, shipments, and shipment rejects/failure to comply.
  • Maintains, collects, review all job tickets. Outline all job tickets, print off pallet tags for dock workers to ensure proper tagging of pallets.
  • Trains forklift drivers by administering road tests and certification.
  • Routinely inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment.
  • Prepares work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.
  • Oversees the loading and unloading of commercial and/or company truck deliveries daily.
  • Responsible for documentation and identification including labeling and barcoding.
  • Train team members, follow, and enforce standards that are required for SQF, OSHA, FDA, EPA, customers, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Interfaces with company vendors, ordering supplies for warehouse operations as needed.
  • Solve problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and making recommendations.
  • Other duties as needed or assigned.

Requirements:

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Minimum 5 years of warehouse experience preferably in a Food Production setting or bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Managing Union work force experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a sense of urgency in matters of food safety required.
  • Excellent computer skills required, including Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Knowledgeable of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and industry standard cleaning procedures; knowledge of HACCP, allergens and pest control required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position requires the use of special safety precautions and/or equipment, e.g., working around operating machines, working with hazardous chemicals and materials, etc. • While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over slippery surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as samples and record boxes. This position requires frequent pulling, carrying, and lifting up to 50lbs.
