About the Job
Summary: The SoLaHmo Researcher participates on one or more SoLaHmo community-academic research teams as a community researcher and community co-investigator or as community co-principal investigator, where appropriate
Duties and Responsibilities: *Participates as an integral member of the community-academic research team *Contributes to building the community-academic research partnership, adhering to the principles of community based participatory research (CBPR) *Contributes community and cultural expertise to the development and implementation of culturally resonant research projects, including study design, research tools, consent, recruitment, enrollment, analysis, and interpretation of research finding *Contributes to data analyses *Completes and maintains current CITI human subjects research training appropriate for the study, HIIPA traning and other trainings as needed *Translates research documents from English to primary language of community, and Transcribes/Translates qualitative data from primary language of community to English as needed *Contributes to dissemination, including writing journal articles; planning and implementation of community dissemination efforts; and planning next steps *Attends regular research team meetings *Contributes to planning/facilitation of CAB meetings and/or community dissemination events
Qualifications
All required qualifications must be included in the application materials Required Qualifications: *Bachelor's degree with related experience *Able to work independently and inter-dependently as a team within the scope of the job description *Must be able to juggle multiple demands *Must occasionally work evening and weekend *Ability to travel between health centers, University of MN, and study activity site
Preferred Qualifications: *Has strong interest in community health and health equity *Values cultural and community strengths and equity between communities *Is interested in working in a multi-cultural and interdisciplinary team setting *Is interested in learning to do research

Pay and Benefits
Pay Range:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
