Job Description: Join us as a Senior Full Stack Engineer (GIS Specialist), to create innovative spatial data applications. As a technical leader, you'll have the opportunity to architect and develop cutting-edge web-based mapping solutions that transform complex geographic challenges into intuitive user experiences. Join our talented team of data scientists, DevSecOps engineers, and product designers, and make a lasting impact on the way the world interacts with spatial data. Responsibilities: Architect and develop sophisticated web-based mapping applications that captivate users with their intuitive design and powerful functionality. Lead the technical direction of feature-focused teams while mentoring junior developers to elevate their skills. Drive innovation in our geospatial technology stack through thoughtful architecture decisions and implementation. Requirements: GIS & Spatial Technologies: Demonstrate expert knowledge of GIS platforms, including ArcGIS, QGIS, and OpenLayers, as well as a deep understanding of spatial data formats and analysis techniques. Full Stack Development: Showcase advanced proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and C#, with deep expertise in React (or Angular 2/Vue.js) for frontend development, and a strong command of Express.js and GraphQL/REST APIs. Leadership & Communication: Bring a proven ability to mentor junior developers, drive technical excellence, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Cloud Expertise: Leverage your extensive experience with the AWS cloud platform, particularly with S3 and spatial services, to deliver robust, scalable solutions. Geospatial Mastery: Demonstrate a track record of building interactive mapping applications and a deep understanding of geospatial projections, coordinate systems and spatial indexing. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to obtain Secret clearance or higher. Associate's degree or higher.
