Primary Location: Aspirus Rhinelander or Howard Young
Summary of position: Provide basic and advanced life support treatment, care, and evaluation of patients. Provides ongoing assessment and required documentation of patient care. Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition and treatment, as appropriate. Initiate and implement interventions based on protocols. Assists with treatments and tests ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties after demonstration of clinical competency and in accordance with hospital and professional scope of practice.
Identify, intervene, and stabilize the ill or injured patient under the direction, and in collaboration with a physician and/or Registered Nurse.
Unit skillset: Collaborative teamwork skills within an interdisciplinary group focused on patient care. Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment. Exhibits strong decision-making skills. Ability to perform while under stress. Ability to recognize and effectively treat life-threatening conditions.
Shift Details Based on Opening " 1.0 FTE (1.2 FTE) would be 96hrs per 2 week rotation

2- 24 hour shifts per week if 24 hour base

or 4 scheduled 12 hour shifts if on 12- hour shift truck " 0.9 FTE would be 72hr per 2 weeks rotation

on 24hr shift one week and 2 - 24hr shifts
the following week

Float Requirement: none -
may have need to move to lateral bases based on staffing levels on scheduled work days to maximize critical needs

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Education: High School graduate and successful completion of an EMS paramedic program.
Experience " Minimum experience: One year paramedic experience required- preferred 3 yrs
Charting system Zoll emsCharts platform - training will be provided
Patient Ratios: Working with nursing staff, not assigned to a direct patient assignment

Crew configurations may be mix of EMT/Medic, Medic/Medic, RN/EMT, RN/Medic - depending on daily staffing
Required certifications needed: Wisconsin EMT Paramedic Certification Active WI DL in good standing AHA BLS AHA ACLS WI CCP Endorsement Preferred MI Paramedic Certification (if candidate has had NREMT-P, is eligible for reciprocity to obtain MI Paramedic licensure)
Driver s License Required " Possesses a valid Wisconsin Driver s License required if Wisconsin based. " Possesses a valid Michigan Driver s License required if Michigan based.
Other " Must maintain CPR and all certifications as stated in the MedEvac Scope of Service.
