Position Summary:

The Scheduler is responsible for scheduling the plant to run efficiently while meeting our customer requirements. They will schedule all areas of production and tooling changes and will provide Material Procurement with information necessary to order Direct Materials. This is done by generating a weekly schedule and projecting it out as deemed necessary. They will generate monthly forecasts and plant loading based on the intermediate and long-range information from the customer releases. The Scheduler reports to the Materials Manager. The position interfaces with all areas and engineering personnel to maintain an orderly flow of tooling and materials through the production process. Also, keeping in touch with launch teams to meet deadlines for tryouts and shipments of new parts.

Essential Job Functions: Review prior day production reporting in QAD for any abnormalities and address if necessary.

Check daily shipping requirements against inventory on hand and advise production of any shortages.

Generate weekly production schedule based on customer releases, inventory on hand, available.

Tooling and manpower requirements and paint line capacity.

Generate production priority and daily rates.

Publish die change schedule and assist setting up weekend requirements.

Generate report of production rates based on running 12-week actual average.

Generate monthly production plan based on customer requirements from releases and historical data.

Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent in education and experience.

Five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strong computer skills and experience working with materials management systems.

QAD experience is preferred.
