Our company, a leading name in the manufacturing industry, is actively seeking a seasoned and proficient 2nd shift Consulting CNC Mill Machinist. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality parts. This position requires a high level of expertise in CNC programming, 5 Axis Milling, Mastercam, GD&T, Fanuc, and Tooling.
Responsibilities:
1. Setup, operate and maintain CNC machines to ensure the production of high-quality parts. 2. Interpret complex blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine the best sequence of operations. 3. Utilize Mastercam software to generate CNC programs for 5 Axis milling operations. 4. Implement and monitor tooling strategies to optimize machining processes. 5. Apply GD&T principles to ensure that all parts meet the required specifications. 6. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Fanuc CNC controls. 7. Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. 8. Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to improve processes and increase efficiency. 9. Train and mentor junior machinists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. 10. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CNC Machinist role in the manufacturing industry. 2. Proven expertise in CNC programming, 5 Axis Milling, Mastercam, GD&T, Fanuc, and Tooling. 3. Ability to interpret complex blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications. 4. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively. 5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment. 6. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and precision. 7. Ability to train and mentor junior machinists. 8. Proven ability to adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. 9. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in CNC machining preferred. 10. Must be willing and able to work the 2nd shift.
