We are seeking an experienced Multifamily Estimator to join a prominent general contractor specializing in large-scale residential developments. This role involves preparing comprehensive and competitive bids for multifamily construction projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company standards and client expectations.

Description

  • Review and interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and create detailed budgets for materials, labor, and subcontractor costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers during the pre-construction phase to align budgets with project goals.
  • Solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to project specifications.
  • Analyze market trends and update cost databases to reflect current material and labor pricing.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive bid packages to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Support project teams with budget modifications and cost evaluations during construction.

Profile

  • 5+ years of estimating experience, specifically in multifamily residential construction.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, materials, and methods related to multifamily projects.
  • Proficiency in estimation software such as PlanSwift, ProEst, or Bluebeam.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple estimates concurrently.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities for working with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
