We are seeking an experienced Commercial Estimator to join a reputable general contractor based in Miami, Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids across a variety of commercial construction projects, ensuring profitability and alignment with client expectations

Description

  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
  • Conduct quantity takeoffs and prepare budgets for material, labor, and subcontractor pricing.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers during pre-construction phases to identify cost-saving measures.
  • Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the best pricing and quality.
  • Monitor market trends, material costs, and labor rates to maintain up-to-date pricing models.
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of bids to clients, ensuring proposals align with project goals and deadlines.
  • Support the project team with change order pricing and budget adjustments during construction.

Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial estimating, preferably with a general contractor.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost structures.
  • Proficiency in estimation software such as ProEst, PlanSwift, or Bluebeam.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interface with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
