Software Engineer

Title: Software Engineer (Mid-Sr)
Location: Rockville, MD (Hybrid)
Type: Long-term Contract

Summary:
We are looking for multiple Software Engineers for a long-term contract initiative supporting a large financial regulator in the Rockville, MD area. This position is hybrid, with the expectation to work 2 times per week on-site. The Engineers will support the integration of a new product for a team responsible for investigation technology. This developer will be heavily involved in the mapping of API's to and from internal and external systems using GraphQL and REST within a serverless system.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with at least six (6) years of related experience
• Experience in developing web application as microservices using AWS services and serverless technologies (Lambdas)
• Experience with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript development
• Strong experience mapping API's using Rest or GraphQL (preferred)
• Experience in Java or Python
• Knowledge of industry leading software engineering approaches including Test Automation, Build Automation and Configuration Management frameworks

• Working knowledge of both SQL and no-sql datastores
