SENIOR DATA GOVERNANCE ANALYST

Techstra Solutions LLC, headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, seeks a Senior Data Governance Analyst to bridge information technology engineering and business needs for technical requirements, data correlation, and data analyses, primarily for clients in the financial industry. This is a Pittsburgh-based hybrid position with a requirement of 3 days per week in the Pittsburgh office. Specific duties include: (i) consulting with business stakeholders to understand their objectives and data needs; (ii) writing and running standard query language ("SQL") queries for data analyses, inquiries, and extractions; (iii) leveraging data models to visualize data structures, physical and logical data models, and complete source data; (iv) interpreting data attributes across complex systems; (v) contributing to the continual improvement of the business' data and analytic solutions, processes, and data engineering capabilities; (vi) interpreting business needs, identifying solutions to business problems, and rapidly implementing effective technical solutions; and (vii) creating technical design documents (e.g., graphs, charts, or other visualizations), test plans, and support materials.
Must have a master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology and Management, or a related field plus 7 years of (technology-based) experience in the financial industry.
Experience must include five (5) years with each of the following: (i) Data Analysis, modeling, and Master Data Management ("MDM") with Big Data/Data Warehouse; (ii) working with Data Modeling; (iii) writing SQL statements to extract and analyze data; and (iv) working on data projects related to treasury, regulatory, risk, and global compliance.
Must also have knowledge (from any completed university-level coursework, seminars, workshops, or real-world, hands-on experience) of the following: (i) MS SQL, R and SSIS/SSRS programming languages; (ii) Tableau and Excel visual analytics systems; (iii) Oracle or Teradata database management systems; (iv) Hadoop or Snowflake data warehousing platforms; (v) NAICS, NACE, and SIC codes for industry classification; (vi) Confluence business tools; (vii) Anti-money Laundering ("AML") practices; and (viii) Know Your Customer ("KYC") standards for the banking industry.
Experience can be concurrent.
