We are looking for an experienced systems administrator who is eager to use and grow his or her technological skills to help our customer meet their mission objectives. The successful candidate will be part of a team that builds solutions, implements new software and hardware, and provides current and next generation system designs. You'll help create, be given challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and take ownership and responsibility. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about applying their skills to make sure our customers achieve mission success. Responsibilities
Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly
Monitor infrastructure health and respond to issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, security updates Support developers in a fast-paced DevOps environment; help research new IT related technologies, develop requirements, and implement custom solutions to support our customer's mission Required Qualifications
Proven work experience in IT Experience with Linux, Windows, and Mac operating systems; current network equipment and technologies, modern datacenter server technology, system performance-monitoring and logging tools, directory services, KVM and VMware virtualization, HTTP services, containerization technologies Scripting (bash, Python, Powershell or similar) and/or automation (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc) experience preferred Experience analyzing and maintaining large-scale distributed systems Shared storage technologies such as NAS, SAN, or clustered file systems Active Top Secret clearance required #qinetiqclearedjob
