Bowman Chevrolet of Clinton, a recent acquisition to Bowman Auto Group, is seeking a General Manager to oversee all dealership operations. Located just 25 miles southwest of Ann Arbor and 30 miles south of Jackson, this is an exciting opportunity to grow the dealership's sales and service footprint, lead a proven, successful team and take the dealership to the next level.
Responsibilities:
Operation Management
Oversee all store operations, including sales, service and administrative, to ensure store performance expectations and customer service levels are achieved. Ensure compliance with company and manufacturer policies, standards and legal regulations. Finance Oversight:
Manage dealership budgets, financial targets and expenses. Analyze financial statements and other KPIs to identify improvement opportunities. Create and implement operational procedures to enhance efficiency, profitability and profits. Responsible for ensuring profitability of each department within the dealership. Sales & Service
Develop store sales goals and business plans for growth and reaching new markets. Oversee all day-to-day decision making, ensuring the store is reacting quickly to the market and customer needs. Set a strong example by consistently embodying the company's core values in every action and behavior. Oversee ongoing customer engagement and communications. Staff Management
Recruit, train and retain high performing sales, service and administrative teams. Conduct regular training and coaching for all team members, offering ongoing development opportunities. Foster a positive, collaborative, inclusive work environment. Inventory and Vendor Management
Oversee all new, used and parts inventory to ensure alignment with market demand. Establish and maintain relationships with all suppliers and vendors. Previous auto sales and management experience. Ability to manage and lead people. Proven track record of achieving goals. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers, employees and vendors. Excellent organization skills, capable of juggling multiple projects simultaneously. Outstanding project management and meticulous attention to detail. Thrives under pressure in a fast-paced setting. Proficient in software applications, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
